Solver: thin-wire Method of Moments, pulse basis with point matching, delta-gap feed,
perfect conductor and free space. Validated against a half-wave dipole: it puts
resonance at 0.4705 λ against a textbook 0.475 λ, R = 71 Ω against
about 70, and directivity 2.25 dBi against 2.15.
Trust it most on straight elements (dipole, Yagi, ground
plane, discone) where it matches theory closely. Treat the Moxon and the quad with
suspicion: their behaviour depends on coupling across a very small tip gap, which this
basis resolves badly, and the solver disagrees with the published dimensions there.
Wire-grid stand-ins for the biquad plate and the helix ground plane are coarse, so
their impedance is indicative at best.
